   | Summary | Entity-based simulations are basically very synchronous and need a lot of calculation power. This document describes an entity model for large-scale distributable simulations. It tries to break down synchronism in order to make independent processing of different tasks on distinct nodes of the networks feasible. Additionally, a related architecture will be presented. With the growing number of entities, problems of overcharged CPU's or heavily loaded network connections appear. In o rder to set up some kind of load-balancing between the distinct nodes, an intelligent ant-based algorithm will be used. |
